In 2007, I began serving at my local church, assisting with various technical and production needs—one of which was operating the lighting console. After attending a creative arts conference in Chicago, I became completely captivated by the art of lighting design. Over the years, I’ve grown from managing simple conventional fixtures with gels and practical effects to crafting immersive environments using moving lights and video integration. One of my favorite creative challenges is designing bold, dynamic looks with limited gear—a skill I take great pride in. At its core, Mammel LX exists to help churches create meaningful moments and to fuel the ever-inspiring question that drives every creative meeting: “What if?”
